Sales Associate

We truly love our customers and it all starts with the interactions between our customer service representatives.  They are the smiling faces holding doors open for you when you walk in ready to greet you with a warm handshake and a general concern for your repair issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers who enter the shop and providing 1-2-3 Punch Customer Service.
  • Be involved stocking display cases.
  • Assisting shoppers find the products and services they are looking for.
  • Being responsible for processing cash and card payments in our POS system.
  • Balancing cash registers with receipts.
  • Surveying Craigslist and Ebay for phones for our retail market.
  • Answering queries from customers.
  • Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Store Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
  • Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
  • Overseeing customer refunds.
  • Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes hovering and mopping.
  • Fielding customer complaints.
  • Working within established guidelines, and policies and procedures.
  • Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor and checking phones routinely.
  • Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock
  • Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

Skills Needed:

  • Having a friendly and engaging personality.
  • Comfortable working with members (all ethnic groups) of the public.
  • Should have a confident disposition.
  • Must be helpful and polite.
  • Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift heavy stock items.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of specific area of sales
  • Able to work as part of a sales team.
  • Knowledge of inventory techniques.
  • Should be of a smart appearance (dress code compliant) and articulate.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Acknowledge and greet customers that are within a close (ten-foot) radius or ten seconds of arriving where the associate is working.
  • Engage the customer through conversation.  Determine the customer’s needs.
  • Provide product knowledge to customers through the features, values and benefits of each product.
  • Actively participate in all programs and procedures that drive sales.
  • Treat associates, customers, and vendors better than they expect.
  • Know where products are located within the store.
  • Be aware of current promotional items and the correct pricing.

Additional Job Functions

  • Participate in store opening and store closing duties.
  • Answer the telephone within three rings.
  • Performs related duties as required.
