Broken Arrow cell phone repair : HTC Screen Repair

HTC Vivid Screen Repair Tutorial for Digitizer Replacement.mp3

Ah ah ah.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Either some of the doctors to them going to show you how to do it HGC vivid digitize a replacement for which you start to make sure we have the proper tools to be able to do the repair.

First off on the new white or black digitizer metal black plastic pick Philips screwdriver.

And 3M and he’s of.

From home you might need a pair of scissors to cut 3M and use of. And possibly a hair dryer or a heat gun which you can get from your local supplier hardware store in know local area.

So now you have all your tools. Let’s get started turn of the device over push of the back door. It will come off like so good that way. Take our battery out which can go sideways like this.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair If you have an SD card take that out and then here’s your SIM card one of the stand out as well on this backplate you’re going to have multiple screws all Phillips have one two three four five six.

Those is the one right here is going to hidden by a sticker.

You just want to put a puncture through that with your filter you are on first.

All right. Now that we got the screws out turning the device back over you grab your middle pick here.

And get in between the classic frame and the screen on loosen it.

Always going to start with the bottom first top portion kind of comes off like this.

That off the side.

Now comes the fun starts and multiple screws on here.

You have to fill screwdrivers a hole in the bottom circuit board down in place else and have a fellow shooter over here over here holding it back played on and then you’re right up you’re holding it down take the black bike frame off first so exposes more screws.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Snelgrove is out to take interpretated block off which comes off like this off to the side. Now we’re ready.

Circuit board out. So

my plastic pick here or going to the. So circuit board.

Absolutely. This underneath here it’s connected to some flex cables down underneath here. First cable is this one here but the charge port.

For these two cables you see right here that are running down into the circuit board. This is attached to this cable up here which the board will be plugging that one as well.

Broken Arrow cell phone repairSo before we get too far into it. Always use your bike pick you don’t want to use your mental picture because you can knock off circuits and you don’t do that. So unplug this cable there. The circuit will be held in by a little clip but quick clip right here. You want to do this kind of edge or when the board out away from that. So so freeze that.

And then all we have to do is come in here.

Fluxus. So now the second word is out from the device.

Now the only thing holding this top portion in is going to be this small film Scroogie very small phillips screw that.

Like this and send it right up here. And this freezes this one up you know another Philips screw right down here.

You want to go out and you also have.

10 or at the so basically you want to put all your antennas because it’s going to stay on the frame itself. It’ll make that will make it easier for to put it back together. Did unscrew the Philips who is right there. I think I have them lined up here probably too in order you know where they go back and back together. So this was going to flip over. So and right here is where your digitizers plugs in which you peel off this whole tape here of not putting anything or flipping anything up and undoing the tape. That holds the lever down and I’ll read my Costic pick here. Put this white lever backwards towards me and wiggle it out.

And there are portions out.

The other antennas are still intact so they can stay right where they’re at. Now we’re ready to heat off the glass. This is a the most difficult portion of the repair wherever he’d gone.

And I had it right here you can use just a normal house towel or whatever you think that you can use just because this is getting it hot basically.

So.

Now he’s up. So this break down.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair And you went to pick up from the bottom. Go into the top because the folks keep on here. Is up at the top of the screen.

Bottom work are way up.

Just getting in there between the frame and the screen and this can be an easy separation or can be a difficult one depending on how cracked your screen is. This is Gorilla Glass so you shouldn’t have all falling apart like some other devices.

If you get hot enough it should come off all in one piece. So you don’t get too hot where you melt the LCD. But it’s hot enough to where it comes off. All one piece and you can rip that skirt that that flex cable. You’re not going to use this. You don’t want to throw this away because later on we’re going to have to take off these white little tabs here later on.

So keep this near you.

He can pull his stuff off this LCT we will put some more back on him later on.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair So now that we have the digitizer off now we’ll have to take the LCD out as well. This is the most tricky part because you don’t want to break the CD. We have the LCD up because the digitizer goes and plugs in as you see right here. It folds up under the LCD.

So that you sew it back down.

Greg.

In the heat of what I’m seeing is.

Sign up or to surround very carefully pick up down there’s bottom portion what I found easiest is take my pick.

Slide all the way up this right side of cabler over there the worry about anything and a twist this way. Sure. It’s like glue.

So read here you’re using too much torque is you going to break the LCD if you end up breaking it.

You do have the part available on our website from doctors dot com and for whatever reason your question is this repair it would be too challenging.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair We don’t want to repair it yourself. We have a national pairs repair center that we can fix this device for you.

See here separates all the stuck down like tape.

So the LCD is out.

And now you want to clean all this tape out of here. Put it best to sort through all this tearing this. Up kill all this 3M and he’s off the frame. And the reason why you don’t want to take any chances of a glass shards being stuck in the end the AM and these because you’re getting glass underneath the screen the right amount of pressure will cause you to crack it again even if it’s in your pocket in your purse.

You know when I have to Poissons again you can always apply new treatment of the screen to sit down.

The one thing I did forget was that the 3M adhesive that we have here the skin the 3M will be used around the skin the to the touch screen digitizer. We also want to have this room and he’s here. Hold on your LCD. And down here the bottom portion this is a little bit stronger like this a lot better. So you would like to use cut this fit or on your screen.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Here on the side portions can be kind of challenging.

And you don’t need a whole lot it just just enough to be able to get the screen to sit back down.

You know with the screen falling out. You have a couple of holes on the left side here and want to make sure you still have access to.

OK. So this is ready to go. What is all this. And if you have off the device once are ready to find the new digitizer city or bring Elsie back on this.

Of like 3M off the subsidy.

We’re going apply some new new stuff on here to help hold down. Brand

new screen in. This

cost go back.

Re-emphasis then a thin sheet of 3M on the bottom side where the buttons are. So we can put our new plastic pieces on there. Those plastic pieces help they add the lights light up at the bottom.

So you see your bottom buttons at night was durka.

On a scale of one to 10. Do read this one eight 10 10 on tific difficulty. I mean you have patience. You can do the repair the sick a little bit.

It’s Force time wise goes.

And if you have any issues you can always contact us the phone number at the bottom of the screen go Mel in international affairs department and we can do the repair. Or we can guide you through the repair budget call us. So I get that 3:00 a.m. and use of down there on the screen. Or bring the screen back in. And we’ll take these white little pegs there on the bottom of the screen to come off the screen and apply them to the new screen. You don’t transfer these over. You will not get any light was dark out the bottom portion of your screen so I’m paired with the script that the Bundes will still work. It just will not light up.

Probably.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Verizon and Evo are in it once they issue seat phones at the screen. This is separate from the LCD.

They’re all the same.

OK. So apportions done. Now we’re ready to add some adhesive around our edges so we can connecter LCD and digitizer together.

Take our skin 3M here. Just kind of guess estimate on how long you’re going to need it.

The straightest possible.

Now if you don’t want the tape showing too far this way where it shows that it’s tighter when your parent the device the little bit extra right there which we can always.

You somewhere else.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Also be careful not to get fingerprints on the side of the screen. No fingerprints underneath the screen. No not fun. Clean those out. All right. So that’s done. Now we’re going to take your pick here and separate those white black sticky stuff down by Portugal.

We got the 3M and he sat down. We’re into a second layer. And the reason why we do that is what for whatever reason when use the LCD searching the digitizer like this. It gives you kind of water spots in there. And the reason why is that the touch screen the digitizer is touching the LCD in a way that makes water spots or make a second layer of three and he around you’re around your frame to avoid that from happening.

Occupant.

So three homes all now on to do a cleaner city.

Plausible though I’m going to clear all the dust off and put this thing back together. So you should see no lines on the sides where the black 3M was was placed. If you do see it just pick it up and move the 3M over. But this one looks good. So now we’re ready to bend or flex or detach reflects back down so we can stick to the bottom of this. And this is ready to go. This is ready to go back on to our little frame here.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Let’s go through here and pick up your dream and he’s a.

All right. So that’s done. Now will take your screen listen in here.

The LCD character will go in this hole right here. And the digitizer will go through this hole right here. As you can see here are here and the digitizer made its way through here. Everything should fit back down to place right back in the groove. The main importance is that the LCD and the digitizer make its way through the holes otherwise you think back again look all the way around here.

Things pushed down or things flush and should be ready to go to put everything back together. Now take our top border here flex cable and will attach the digitizer to its.

New knowing that it’s all the way in point something out here real quick.

This the tab right here the digitizer. You want to see that if you go away if you have plugged in all the way.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Now watch this and I have the screen. Well you know I’m away now it’s gone. See no white Ridge saying is that tells me that it’s all the way in that I’ll flip this sucker down. Flip down. He says that you three that you pulled off earlier. We pulled off earlier. Go back on there. So that digitizer does not come unplugged.

It does come and plug rarely but it does complicate synch with are folks cables back into place.

Two groups though we had two clips one right here and one right here which is this this cable hooks cable going to get underneath.

It does if you don’t get underneath that have issues of the screen or the back plate sitting on. So put your antennas.

Back in.

Somehow or you may have to use your metal pipe to pull you back in.

The intent is. Just a little bit of force.

You go out and go in and you heard a click. This right here. Well want to put this year when it first goes in right there.

So this tablet is down.

So.

It is right there so the top portion right here is ready is ready to go get her antennas plugged in. All we do is plug the circuit board back in and we’re just about finished a circuit board here. It’s got four home plug ins. You have your two flex cables which are right here. Have your charged port what you put in right here and then you have your LCD which plugs in here on the side right there. I pulled the one on the side of the city and first it’s plugged in and this can be kind of this can be kind of perfectly kind of challenging and getting everything to sit in or of the point perfectly.

So I get this also you point at first then they get that charge port to poison forgive a little on the flux and the board and certainly this way to get the plug.

Broken Arrow cell phone repair Everything is plugged in properly. If the device isn’t power on after you put everything back together more than likely one of these two cables right here are plugged in properly they’re slightly unplugged so that. Now just like of here we have the two clips we had to make sure that the cables underneath them. Same thing with the circuit board. The clip is right here. So we’ll just maneuver it to where it’s on and it gets underneath that portion of it. And sits down just fine before putting anything in we can put our screws back in.

Here’s the bottom portion right there. Right there. Now we also have one up here in the corner here that I did forget about just the one silver sugar and that holds that down there. OK.

So know what your intent is in black when it goes on the inside into the again and the white ones on the outside.

It’s all right.

Kay says that’s ready to go.

We get her book back for him and will this park portion her here will go this little over here or go underneath the battery terminals. Or the else will just fall into place. That’s very important because you want to see the better terms you want to cover it up and able to access the better.

The folding of her on that point they got a couple screws that put back in.

Now that’s basically almost on the back backplate here. We’ll pull back on. Easiest way to put it back on is I always put the top in first just like we did before we went to the way the bottom and worked our way to the top. We’re

going to work the opposite way so top down and everything should.

Look so charge port a plug in not a solder and it plugs in right here usually these cables and plugs so what we’ll do is once this door is fitted on it’s set up just perfectly through just push it down and plugs right in you’ll fill plug in and the charger will start working at that point. Put the door back on. Or Baxters back on if you find if you find this view helpful or if you like it definitely hit the light paid light like button. All right all the shoes are back in now open her SIM card back in. Of course if you had a memory card it would go back in there right there.

Or better yet in battery or footpad over power the device on.

And voila.

For this device to power off test all the functions down make sure the touchscreen is working properly. All your bottom pieces all your bottom keys are working properly as well.

Show touch screens working fine slides up. Awesome. So that’s the site sizable sites home keys work but it works great options. And our search engine is great. Awesome.
