PHONEDOCTORS® is always looking for great technicians.  Technicians are quite literally, the lifeblood of the company.  Over half of our customers come to us based solely on the fact that they need a repair, and we are there to help. Our technicians are some of the best and they know how to grow one another.  In fact, most of our information for training and continuing growth come from within through suggestions and skills that our technicians have picked up through day-to-day interactions with customers’ devices.

Many people wonder whether or not they need to know phone repair before they apply.  Well, that certainly helps.  However, some of our most successful technicians have been people who were simply mechanically inclined, willing to work hard at learning new devices when they were released, and had a strong set of core values that aligned with ours.  We have 3 levels of technician statuses that you can test for as you progress, which come with different benefits and opportunities.

Training

We provide our technicians with a high-level of training that has been carefully mastered through over a decade of experience.  Having the correct set of tools is only half the battle.  Knowing how to use them with Intentional quality is probably the hardest part.  We get hundreds of calls a year from other companies wanting us to put on repair education, but we reserve it for our own.

We hope you never leave and you continue to progress throughout your career here, but we know that working with us will give you a skill set that is no doubt, going to continue to become a staple in the technology sector.

Technicians bear most of the responsibility for whether or not a repair leaves successfully in our customers’ hands.  So, we make sure that you are compensated correctly for it.  Depending on your skill level and opportunity for advancement, you will be met with a highly competitive pay scale in the industry at PHONEDOCTORS®.

Skills Needed

  • Organization – You will be in charge of repairing multiple devices throughout the day.  Many technicians record over 15-20 devices a day individually in addition to performing other required tasks, so it is imperative that you have strong organizational skills to ensure that your repairs are performed in a timely manner, no parts are ever lost, and you can gauge time estimates.
  • Time Management – You will be responsible for informing customer service representatives of time needed to complete repairs.  This could mean a device that is 5th or 6th in queue easily, so a good working knowledge of time management is a must.
  • Detail-Oriented – You’re repairing a customer’s prized possession, their mobile device.  So it’s important that all parts and components are placed back into the device to as close to OEM standards as possible.  Are you the type of person that doesn’t mind leaving a screw or two out because it’s too difficult to take it back apart?  Well, this may not be for you then.  We are looking for people that have intentional quality and ensure customer’s devices are back in working order as close to original purchase as possible, considering circumstances.
  • Drive – We give you the most up-to-date training that we have when you come on board.  However, the mobile device industry changes almost daily and it will be up to you as a technician to keep up with new technologies and methods if you want to see yourself and the company progress.  We have a full-time staff dedicated to ensuring that you have all the tools necessary and that we alleviate as much of that burden from you as possible.  However, it’s a reality and we as a family and a company depend on your knowledge and communication.
